My obsession

It's Day 5 of school holidays here and so far, so good. We went to see Beverly Hills Chiuauha (sp) yesterday. I was pretty dubious to say the least but Rukiah (DD age 9) was desperate to see it. Surprisingly, I enjoyed it. A bit corny and a bit predictable, but a bice feel good funny movie. Even my boys enjoyed it and they much prefer Ben 10!

I have a new obsession. I go through phases where I become fixated on something and spend hours endlessly researching and often buying (to the detriment of my bank account). My constant obsession is scrapbooking - of course but the focus of that will change. For a while it was clear stamps and now I have so many I am sure I will never use them.

Lately it's magazines and books related to scrapbooking and altered art. In the last month I have purchased Becky Flecks Pagemaps, a range of Somerset Studio and Memories magazines, Claudine Helmuth's Collage Discovery Workshop http://www.collageartist.com/

The book that I am now eagerly awaiting is Taking Flight by Kelly Rae Roberts. http://www.kellyraeroberts.com/

I purchased that book from here http://www.bookoto.com/. Only $10US postage to Australia and they arrive really quickly, much quicker than Amazon.

Talking of Amazon, I am also awaiting a purchase from them but it takes forever!!

I really must stop! It's great to have inspiration but I seem to buy these books and then never use them. I guess I'm just a hoarder by nature. I keep everything. I even have my school books from when I was in primary school!! Now that's hoarding lol. Maybe someday my kids or my grandkids will be grateful that I have kept and treasured (yep hoarded) all of this stuff.

Do you have an obsession or are you a hoarder?

Till the next post,

take care
